Bookkeeper/Development Assistant

Our successful candidate will manage the day to day QB- bookkeeping/bi-monthly payroll (37 employees)/Donor Base Management for growing non-profit in Plano.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • Income Receipt and Deposits
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Reconciliation of Bank Accounts and Debit/Credit Card
  • Employee Management for QB Payroll
  • Process bi-monthly payroll and all applicable reports
  • Process Quarterly 991 and SUTA returns
  • Process annual W-2 and 1099’s
  • Enter journal entries as needed
  • Maintain orderly accounting filing system
  • Support Finance Dept staff as needed
  • Manage Bloomerang – Input of Donor Contributions
  • Process annual contribution statements
  • Reconcile information in Bloomerang to QB
  • Process donations and reconcile in QB and Bloomerang.
  • Assist Chief Philanthropy Office as needed

Qualifications and Skills include:

  • No less than 3+ years bookkeeping experience utilizing a proficient working knowledge of Quickbooks
  • Minimum Associated Degree in Accounting
  • Accounting degree a plus
  • Experience working with a non-profit organization a positive
  • One year experience with Bloomerang or a similar donor based program
  • One year experience with a payroll service, preferably Quickbooks payroll system
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter, very detail-oriented and efficient
  • Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Friendly, cooperative and organized work style
