LEGAL ADVOCATE / CPS LIAISON: The Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center is hiring a legal advocate with experience working with victims of family violence. A successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the issues victims face, training and/or experience in advocacy, and experience working within the legal/justice system and Child Protective Services. Providing legal advocacy to adult victims of family violence with pending CPS cases will be the primary job focus. A candidate who is bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
The starting salary for this position is $40,000/year. For applicants who are bilingual (English/Spanish) or have a Master’s degree, the salary is $40,510. For applicants who are both bilingual and have a Master’s degree, the salary is $41,010. For applicants who have licensure recognized by the state of Texas (LPC, LPC-I, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT) the salary is $45,000. This is a full-time non-exempt position.
