Who Can Be a DV Service Provider Member?

Category I (DV Service Provider) membership is open to family violence service delivery organizations that have 501(c)(3) status, serve battered women and their children as the organization’s primary clients in either residential or non-residential programs, support the mission and philosophy statement of TCFV, provide services or access to services consistent with the service rules set forth in the Texas Department of Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Family Violence Handbooks, have been recommended by the TCFV Membership Committee, and are accepted for Category I membership by the TCFV Board of Directors.

Category II (Developing DV Program) membership is open to developing family violence service delivery organizations that meet all the above criteria, but have been in operation for fewer than 5 years. This is a temporary membership status of no more than three years. Category II members are expected to apply for Category I membership when they become eligible.

Renewing Membership

If you are already a Category I or II member, you should receive a renewal form from TCFV each January. For questions about your membership, please contact TCFV’s Membership Department at 800-525-1978 or membership@tcfv.org.

Membership Dues

Category I membership dues are calculated on a sliding scale based on the organization’s operating budget. Category II membership dues are $250 per year.

All membership dues go to support TCFV’s legislative advocacy. TCFV advocates with Texas lawmakers to maintain essential funding for family violence services and to promote laws that benefit victims of family violence.
