Female Survivors of Family Violence

Four additional county characteristics, along with population density, proved relevant in identifying and understanding current need, especially for female victims of family violence. These included:

  • Higher Female Population Age 20-24
  • Counties along the Texas-Mexico Border
  • Counties Designated as Rural
  • Counties with a higher percentages of college graduation
Overall, these results show that efforts to assist female survivors of family violence must take all of these factors into consideration because they indicate a higher need.
