9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
We’ll start the day by gathering at the Capitol building for a legislative briefing and discussion before marching to the South Steps of the State Capitol. This march will take place within the Capitol building, arriving at the outside entrance of the Capitol on the South side steps. Once we arrive at the South steps, we will rally together with survivors, legislators and advocates and hear from a variety of speakers who will inspire us to take action! Following the rally, you will have time to meet with your legislators to discuss TCFV & TAASA’s legislative and funding priorities, and to raise up any issues that are important to you. Please note legislator visits should be scheduled ahead of time as you will likely not be able to meet with legislative staff without a scheduled meeting. More details on scheduling those will come in early January!
Considerations
Please note that making visits inside the Capitol also involves significant walking. Consider outdoor weather conditions and comfortable footwear for this dynamic event. If you feel you will need accommodations, please indicate this when you register.
