At the Table CCR Grant Project & Application
At the Table is a project funded by the Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor with funding from US Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women. TCFV provides a limited number of communities with a small annual grant with the goal of beginning or enhancing a community’s response to domestic violence. An applying community must include a local domestic violence service provider and two other community response-based leaders, for example, law enforcement, prosecution, probation, medical professional, school system, etc. The selected community will be required to observe two short e-learning modules, develop goals and objectives for the year, and submit two brief reports documenting their progress. TCFV provides ongoing support and consultation to the communities as they progress towards their goals. Funding can be provided to a community for 1-3 years as resources allow, depending on community need, but requires an annual application and review for consideration.
When resources are available, funding application announcements are typically made In October and November.
Lethality Assessment Program
The LAP is an evidence based and effective method for first responders such as law enforcement and other community professionals—such as health care providers, case workers, and court personnel—to identify victims of domestic violence who are at the highest risk of being seriously injured or killed by their intimate partners, and immediately connect them to the local community-based domestic violence service program. The LAP is designated as a “supported intervention” through the CDC’s Continuum of Evidence of Effectiveness and is also one of two models of evidence-based intimate partner homicide prevention to be honored as a promising practice by the DOJ. The LAP aims to identify victims of domestic violence who are at the greatest risk of being killed and connect them to services immediately. TCFV provides communities with this training and tool FREE of charge.
