2025 Texas Needs Assessment

Creating a Safer Texas requires both listening directly to survivor’s needs and using data to inform decision making. As a state coalition, TCFV is charged with conducting a needs assessment each year. TCFV does so via the State of the State gap analysis most years. Then, every five years, TCFV conducts an in-depth needs assessment with expert researchers to create a thorough understanding of the needs of survivors in Texas and the recommendations that will get us to Creating a Safer Texas.

Needs Assessment

The 2025 Needs Assessment was designed to honor and elevate the voices of survivors and advocates, and to guide the State of Texas in building a state plan that meets federal and state requirements, directs resources to the greatest needs and gaps, and works to ensure every survivor can access support when they need it most.

State of the State

Every data point collected by a family violence center is a strong survivor and their family who sought services in our state. TCFV produces the State of the State to honor their voices and strength and understand services trends and gaps to create a needs assessment.
