DVHRTs support survivor safety by creating a community coordinated initiative in which survivors at the highest lethality risk get enhanced support from team members across the advocacy and legal system. DVHRT’s work to hold offenders accountable and ensure survivors at the most risk receive supportive services.
Each year TCFV shares deidentified data from DVHRT cases in these reports to support community understanding of the risk factors present in domestic violence cases associated with high lethality. We do so to promote the incorporation of these findings into practice to reduce fatalities and support survivor safety.
